bigredblitzSusan Morris, organizer of the Bowling Green International Festival Children’s Activities Tent is working again this year with volunteers from Big Red Blitz to prepare for the 2016 Bowling Green International Festival on Saturday, September 24.

The Festival pays special attention to providing a wide variety of edutainment activities and interactive displays for kids and youth attending the event. Big Red Blitz is WKU’s largest community service event and each year Susan’s projects have been facilitated by eager WKU students donating their time to help out.  The students cut out patterns for a treasure trove of supplies to be used in projects that festival goers can create and take home.

According to their webpage, “Big Red’s Blitz provides a great opportunity for students to develop relationships with their classmates and form connections with community leaders, while gaining an appreciation for service and positively impacting the Bowling Green Community.’  And, we at the BGIF certainly appreciate their efforts!
