Stage Management

Specific Duties: The Stage Manager insures that performances flow according to the schedule. Assistants and announcers may be available to carry out some of the Stage Manager’s duties.

  • Check the status of the stage. Assist the Site Coordinator and subcontractors in any way necessary to insure on time setup

  • Welcome performers to the stage and inform them of the current status of the stage.

  • Make sure they have checked in at the information booth and inform them any payments will be at the information booth upon completion of their performance.

  • Inform performers when there are 5 minutes left before they perform. If they need help preparing lend a hand.

  • Be sure the group is announced when it is time to perform.

  • Signal performers when enough time for 3 songs is left in their performance time.

  • Make sure the performers clear their equipment out of the way as quickly as possible for the next group. Assist if needed.

  • Maintain open communication with any assistants or announcers. Relay any information necessary between the performers and the sound engineer or vice versa.
