Merchandising Booth

Specific Duties: Volunteers at the merchandise booths sell festival fundrasing items such as tshirts, sodas, raffles, donations and coupon cards. Some volunteers and supervisors remain in the booth, some are in separate booth areas and others may be throughout the site checking in when possible. Tangent festival stations also report to the Merchandising booth including the games, beer booth and fundraising crews.

  • Set up merchandise booths. (see info area diagram). Post all signs & note prices. Place extra inventory in closed bins under the tables.

  • Go over these instructions with all volunteers.

  • Keep money from all areas separated in the proper envelope. Turn in money from one area at a time so they can be kept in corresponding envelope for deposit.

  • Regularly check fundraising stations and collect money putting money in proper envelope. Collections should be made at beer booth about once an hour.

  • Restock sodas and all merchandise as sales are made. Keep stock undertables in closed containers except for a few needed for display.

  • Encourage everyone to buy a coupon card or other souvenir to support the festival.

  • Sell tickets for Inflatable games.

  • Do not give any items to anyone unless they have a signed ticket for the item. Place the ticket in the envelope for the item it was traded in for. Tickets are issued at the volunteer tent.

  • Keep all items organized in their proper location. If you see a misplaced item put it where it goes.

  • Send fundraising volunteers out with 10 coupon cards at a time. Replace when $50 is returned.

  • Do not change prices of items or give discounts except for the volunteer $4 tshirt discount.
