Salsarengue is the latest concept developed by the talented Willie Crespo. Willie, a well-known Puerto Rican recording artist, developed and organized this group to satisfy the growing demand for Caribbean music in Nashville, Tennessee and throughout the southeast. Salsarengue's repertoire includes many musical styles including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia and Bachata to name a few. The group incorporates computer technology to enhance the sounds of Salsarengue. Salsarengue consists of Willie Crespo (Vocals, Keys), Carlos Negron (Trumpet, Flute, Vocals), Michael Ritter (Trumpet), Carlos Llanes (Trombone, Vocals), Mike Krzmarzick (Trombone, Vocals), Dann Sherrill (Timbales, Percussion), Giovanni Rodriguez (Conga, Vocals, Percussion), Isoel Villarubia (Bass), and Jorge Marte (Keys, Vocals). Salsarengue frequently features guests performers including Roland and Rashaan Barber (Trombone/Saxophone) and many others.
