SEED N’ SOIL is a band that plays dance hall reggae music, the “New” generation of reggae. The main artists are Judrude and Efosa Jahman.

Judrude is a drummer & a singer from West Africa. He formerly played with A GrAMmy award winner Femi Kuti and toured in Africa, Europe, Canada and the United States. Judrude came to the US in 1995 through a contract with Motown Records and settled in the Washington DC area for a year and played with Black Sheep. In 1996 he moved to Nashville and worked with the “Afro Beat” legend, O.J. Ekemode. Now, he is headed up his own band both as lead singer and head percussionist.

Efosa Jahman is from Nigeria, West Africa and plays lead guitar and helps with lead vocals. He also worked with Femi Kuti, in the well-known “Positive Force Band”. He also came to the U.S. in 1995 and played with Black Sheep in our nations capital. In 1996 he came to Music City to play O.J. Ekemode.

Influenced by Bob Marley, Shabaran, Maxi Priest and others like Buju Banton and Inner Circle. SEED N SOIL is a band of ‘ GOOD MUSIC, GREAT GROOVES . SEED N SOIL does fifty percent original music. The music is a mixture of reggae, rap, rub-a-dub, a groove to dance to. The band is rounded out with others on guitars, bass, keyboards and drums. Musicians from around the world have together to bring the vibes called SEED N SOIL
