Gallery Walk Participation Requirements & Application.
  • All exhibits must have a foreign culture theme in support of the BG International Festival.

  • All participating venues must host an exhibit reception on September 19 from the hours of 5PM to 9PM and the exhibit must remain up until September 27. Exhibits may start earlier or end later.

  • To be included on Gallery Walk publicity applications must be received by August 15.

  • The BG International Festival will promote the Gallery Walk and participating venues in a media campaign that include TV, radio, print and web. Where detailed information is used highest priority will be given to exhibits most directly reflecting the foreign culture theme and these guidelines.

  • Venues will be provided promotional materials that must be prominently displayed.

  • Venues must promote their exhibit and reception through all means available to them that are commonly used in the promotion of their special events. All promotions for individual exhibits/receptions must include the BG International Festival logo or the phase “part of the BG International Festival’s Gallery Walk details available at http://www.BGInternationalFest.com”. The festival logo is available at the top of this page. Various versions are available online in the media section.

  • Participants are encouraged to include a picture of their venue for use in promotions such as the festival’s website. You may also send up to three other photos depicting work or artists from your featured exhibit.

  • Galleries are encouraged to consider booth space at the festival and/or participation in the parade on September 27 (participation application online). The festival’s theme for 2008 is “Love in any language” but you do not have to incorporate this theme into your exhibit, just the general foreign culture theme.
