Now in his tenth year of percussion performance, Bobby Payne continues to play and study under renowned professional percussionist, Dr. Christopher Norton. Under Dr. Norton, Bobby earned a chair in the Belmont University Percussion Ensemble and has become a member of the Percussive Arts Society, performing at their International Conventions. Early in his post-secondary education, Bobby introduced a new rudiment to the drum world which brought attention to his talent nationwide.

While living in Bowling Green, KY, Bobby attended Warren Central High School where his talent was recognized with the 2002 John Phillip Sousa Award, six All District Band first chairs in percussion, and 3 trips to the KMEA All State Band, the last as first chair percussion.
