Print a copy of this form to retain for your reference before clicking submit.
This application is for cultural displays and free foreign culture activities. Any other type of activities or displays (including those representing nonprofits or services that target our foreign born community) should use the Special Interest application*.
PARTICIPATION DEADLINES:
There is not a deadline for this type of booth. Exhibitors will be chosen and assigned booth space on a first come, first serve basis.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
There are no booth fees for Cultural Displays or Activity Booths whether they are created by individuals, businesses or nonprofit organizations.
You may include any information you wish about your organization with your display but the majority of space on at least one table should focus on a foreign culture or a free activity related to a foreign culture. Booths targeting foreign born populations for sales or services are NOT considered cultural displays.
If you wish to sell anything, raise funds other than by a collection jar or have a general display about your organization, or have an activity not related to foreign culture, this is not the correct application - you should apply for a booth using the appropriate application.
Do not apply for a booth if you can not keep it operational from 9AM to 7PM.
Booth space is 10ft x 10ft . All exhibitors are responsible for providing their own setup/displays such as tables, chairs, shelving, tents, easels etc. Displays must be appropriate, neat and conform to the space allotted.
No staking allowed to prevent damage to the sprinkler system in the park.
There are a limited number of electrical outlets available at a cost of $25 per two 110 outlets or $50 per 220 outlet. Electric fees are not included in free boothspaces. Do not request electricity for radios or other equipment that can be battery operated. If you plug in items not requested here they will be removed. Electric requirements must be made in advance and cannot be dropped after September 15.
Booth workers are encouraged to dress in appropriate festive or traditional attire for the culture they represent.
Demonstrations and activities are encouraged and will draw people to your booth. Recorded or live music must be kept at a moderate volume, must not interfer with other booths or stages and must be described on this application.
Participants will be turned away, without refund if the content of their booth was inadequately described or misrepresented on the application or inappropriate for general audiences.
Booth locations will be provided at checkin. Do not call for this information.
