In 2011 in keeping with our People Helping People theme, agencies, nonprofits and community groups who work with diverse communities should use this form to get a free booth without having to follow the cultural display requirements. PARTICIPATION DEADLINES:
There is not a deadline for this type of booth. Exhibitors will be chosen and assigned booth space on a first come, first serve basis.
Boothspace is 10 ft x 10 ft but more than one space can be requested if needed.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
There are no booth fees for this type of booth but you must be a nonprofit organization and be approved by the ALIVE CCP (Your information will be forwarded to them).
You may include any information you wish about your organization with your display.
No sales are permitted under this application. If you wish to sell anything, raise funds other than by a collection jar, this is not the correct application - you should apply for a booth using the appropriate application.
Do not apply for a booth if you can not keep it operational from 9AM to 7PM.
Booth space is 10ft x 10ft . All exhibitors are responsible for providing their own setup/displays such as tables, chairs, shelving, tents, easels etc. Displays must be appropriate, neat and conform to the space allotted. ALIVE CCP has some tables and chairs available on a first come first serve basis - contact Nadia De Leon to reserve them.
No staking allowed to prevent damage to the sprinkler system in the park.
There are a limited number of electrical outlets available Do not request electricity for radios or other equipment that can be battery operated. If you plug in items not requested here they will be removed. Electric requirements must be made in advance and cannot be dropped after September 15.
Booth workers are encouraged to dress in appropriate festive or traditional attire for the culture they represent.
Demonstrations and activities are encouraged and will draw people to your booth. Recorded or live music must be kept at a moderate volume, must not interfer with other booths or stages and must be described on this application.
Participants will be turned away, without refund if the content of their booth was inadequately described or misrepresented on the application or inappropriate for general audiences.
Booth locations will be provided at checkin. The ALIVE Center will check in for you and help you find your location. All ALIVE Center "People Helping People" booths are near the College Street end of the big lawn on the our map which can be found at the bottom of the boothspace section of the website.
SETUP/TEARDOWN RESTRICTIONS:
Booths must be set up no later than 9AM and dismantled no earlier than 7PM.
You must check in at the information booth before beginning set up.
Saturday morning check in begins at 7:30AM.
