ISSS Students Boothspace Application & Contract

This application is for students under ISSS, all others, including other WKU students and organizations should use the regular applications.
PARTICIPATION DEADLINES:
There is NOT A DEADLINE to apply for booth space except for Country Passport Displays which are due by Sept. 9. You can still do a cultural display for any country even if the one you choose is not available to be a Country Passport Display but only one booth is given stamps for each country in our passport books.
There is a deadline to get tables and chairs from ISSS. You must reserve a table and chairs from ISSS by September 6. If you haven't reserved them by Sept. 6 you will have to bring your own tables and chairs.
There are no fees for your booths - they have been paid in advance by ISSS.
If you would like to perform on a stage you must fill out our performers application here. To be included submit your application as soon as possible.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Your booth must be open from 9AM to 7PM
Booth space is 10ft x 10ft. If you need more room you may apply for a second boothspace. All exhibitors are responsible for providing their own setup/displays such as tables, chairs, shelving, tents, easels etc. Displays must be appropriate, neat and conform to the space allotted. ISSS will provide you with tables and chairs if you reserve them by Sept. 6.
To prevent damage to the sprinkler system - no staking allowed.
There are a limited number of electrical outlets available. Do not request electricity for radios or other equipment that can be battery operated. If you plug in items not requested here they will be unplugged as there will not be enough for everyone who requested electricity.
Booth workers are encouraged to dress in appropriate festive or traditional attire for the culture they represent.
Demonstrations and activities are encouraged and will draw people to your booth. Recorded music must be kept at a moderate volume, must not interfer with other booths or stages and must be described on this application.
The content of your booth must be appropriate for general audiences.
Booth locations will be provided at checkin. ISSS will checkin for all students and help you find your space. All ISSS spaces are at the College St. end of the Big Lawn on our map which can be found at the bottom of the boothspace section of the website.
All vendors, performers and volunteers should be stamped for admission at the volunteer gate by the big parking lot on the State Street side of the park (see same map).
Booths with food, unless it is prepackaged and will not spoil such as boxed goods or baked goods, must contact the Health Department for a temporary license. Health Department regulations must be followed or you will not pass their onsight inspections. They have a fee but yours will be waived if you tell them you are with WKU's ISSS students.
SETUP/TEARDOWN RESTRICTIONS:
Booths must be set up no later than 9AM and dismantled no earlier than 7PM.
Saturday morning check in begins at 7:30AM.
